PKU Food

For many families living with PKU, our annual all-inclusive family camp is the one vacation they take that doesn't require packing a suitcase of low-protein food. Bring your formula, but leave the cooking to us as we work hard to bring you new recipe ideas and tried-and-true camp favorites.

Our PKU Chef

Brenda Winiarski of Cook For Love will be our low-protein chef this year! Many of you know Brenda from her amazing trove of low-protein recipes on her website, but here's a bit of background for good measure.

Brenda was so determined to ensure that her daughter Molly had access to delicious, low-protein foods that Brenda enrolled herself in the Chef Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in New York City - one of the only vegetarian-based culinary schools in the United States. It was there that she gained the skills and confidence she needed to take her cooking to the next level. But most importantly, she honored her promise to her baby girl: PKU was not going to get in the way of her daughter's enjoyment of food.

It is a rare opportunity to have Brenda cooking for us this year and we are beyond excited! Register soon to secure your spot - this could be our biggest year yet!

Additional Details

Much of the low-protein food for the weekend is generously donated by food companies to help keep our camp costs low. We often share the camp menu about a month prior to the event. We can also accommodate other dietary restrictions like gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and others with advance notice.
